ORAL PRESENTATION

In my english class we have to do an oral presentation which is an oral exam. To do that we had to choose one book or film and explain that, me and my partner have chosen the film called "Tres metros sobre el cielo".

IT IS BETTER TO SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOME TIME IN THE FUTURE

           Nowadays, we live in a society which isn't very rich because of a worldwide crisis which has influenced our life for some years. Being aware of that situation, the question is: is it better to save your money for some time in the future?

           I think it is. I think it's important to save money and not to spend it immediatly, because we can't know what will happen to us in the next years and, in my view it's necessary to be thrifty somehow. In addition, we have to learn about the present crisis situation, because I imagine that some people aren't conscious that if we overcome it some day, it will reappear in future times and, if I reflect on parents, for example, they normally want a good and stamble future for them children and because of that it's important to be able to offer them the possibility of having a degree, which would provide them a job working on what they like and that's not cheap.

           As a result of all that arguments I believe it's important to respect every personal economic situation, since at the moment there exist lots and lots of families which hardly have something to eat and, moreover, they are homeless. Related to that, I think people have to guard what they share on social networks, because some images reflect some people are living in very good economic conditions and it can affect poor people's feelings.

           In conclusion, in my opinion it's important to save some money for some time in the future in general, but respecting everyone's situation.

BORN TO LEARN

This video which is spelled “Born to learn” talks about how the mind evolutions since we are little children to adult age.

Firstly, the narrator talks about what we perceive when we have between two and four years old. The answer is that we receive lots of sensorial information about some objects and other surroundings’ miscellaneous. After, we can know what it’s very important about our development, this is that if we don’t have the capacity of talking before eight years old, we will probably not know how to do it never.

Finally, the video can give us a message to be conscious that the teenage age is very important to base our future, because in this age is when we learn those important information about how to be somebody in our live and how to move on.

SPEAKING TEST

In the speaking test of the first term of the course we had to explain what happened the day of our birth.

PROJECT 1: WEATHER FORECAST

In this case, we had to became weather forecasters and explain what was going to happen those week.

In this second writing we had to wrote a news report about Banyoles Official Language School 10th's birthday.

WRITING 2: OFFICIAL LANGUAGE SCHOOL BANYOLES CELEBRATES ITS 10th BIRTHDAY

             Last Thursday, 8th October, at 6:00 pm there was a speech in Banyoles auditorium L'Ataneu because of the OLS's 10th birthday. It is a public language school which was inaugurated in September 2005.

               There were some important people like Annie Gili, the Principal of the school; Albert Bayot, Girona's Educational department's director; the town's mayor Miquel Noguer and an expert in linguistics and communication called Sebastià Serrano. He is a Barcelona University professor.

On the one hand, each one gave information about OLS evolution and informed about new projects; moreover, they also congratulated the school teachers and encouraged them to keep it up.

On the other hand, Sebastià Serrano made a speech entitled "Communication in the third millennium", which was about how the communication has changed in recent years and how it affects to different generations nowadays.

Finally, Annie Gili said that at this moment the school is filled up, which means people are more interested in English and French than some years ago.

             With this piece of news we want to encourage all generations to sign up on OLS, where you can be very well treated and spend likeable moments.
